The Brief: design the covers for a series of books, for three stories by HG Wells.
These three covers show a common theme in the design of the type, the use of imagery and the passage from the books on the front cover, so that you know that they are part of a series.
They went through a few iterations before arriving at these final designs, one of which I have shown below to outline some of the process that went into the work.
And these were the first covers I designed before the redesign that resulted in the final covers as shown at the top of the post:
